St. Francis of Assisi Senior Apartments

Palos Park, Illinois

Catholic Charities Housing Development Corp.

  • The St. Francis of Assisi Senior Apartments are situated on a 50-acre parcel of land surrounded by an open prairie, forest and lake, the design intent was to maintain the open space and rural character of the site.
  • To complement the design of existing buildings on the Holy Family Villa Campus, similar aesthetics such as consistent building massing and roof lines, matching brick color and stone details, as well as the continuation of the prairie landscape were applied.
  • Building amenities include lounges, activity rooms, meeting spaces, a wellness center, a salon as well as a three-season porch and large multi-purpose room that can be used by all residents. Site amenities include walking paths, 85 parking spaces and a detention pond.
  • The meeting room at St. Francis of Assisi Senior Apartments is a great place for residents to meet for events and socialize. The L-shaped building takes advantage of the openness of the site and provides views to the forest and open prairie from all sides.
  • The St. Francis of Assisi Senior Apartments building is an 81-unit independent living housing facility comprised of one bedroom units located at the existing Holy Family Villa Campus.
