Size: (120,000 SF) 16 Acre Site
Services: Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Telecommunication Services
Project Description: Harley Ellis Devereaux provided complete Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Telecommunication services, which included new construction and seismic retrofit, in the creation of a new campus for the Oaks Christian High School. Originally constructed in the mid 1960’s as a military research, engineering and manufacturing office building, the 120,000 SF building was selectively demolished down to the building’s structural shell and seismically strengthened in order to create a new school for 1,200 students. The existing terrain of the 16-acre site sloped severely and was significantly regraded to provide three main terraces. These terraces provided space for a new gymnasium and locker room building, Olympic sized swimming pool, baseball, soccer and softball fields and a 2-level parking structure, which accommodates up to 275 vehicles.
