Matador Soccer Stadium, California State University, Northridge

Northridge, California

Master Plan

"Our program has the ability to evolve to the next level, ...and truly become a team that the entire Valley can embrace and call their own."

Terry Davila, Men's Head Soccer Coach

  • The proposed soccer stadium at CSUN will be located on campus and is intended to replace an aging facility with bleacher seating, originally used for football. The complex will include both playing and practice fields sized to international standards.
  • There will be a grandstand with concessions for 7,500 spectators and lighting for night games, complete locker facilities and weight rooms for both men’s and women’s teams, and a press box with adjacent box suites.
  • As the only local sports complex dedicated solely to soccer, the new stadium will serve not only the needs of the university, but will also have the potential to become a center for the popular sport within the San Fernando Valley.
