Kaiser Permanente

Folsom, California

Outpatient Surgery Center

  • Planned and programmed Kaiser Folsom’s new 45,000 square foot Ambulatory Surgery Center. The building contains six operating rooms and was designed to attract a discriminating clientele by creating a highly recognizable image that customers will associate with premier care. The interiors feature varying heights, textures, angles and curves in stone
  • The planning of the interiors supports clear zones of service, access and circulation that recognize the distinct paths of patients and visitors. Our proactive planning approach led the OR Director to comment that BFHL’s “experience in medical building and ASC workflow is quite obvious.
  • Harley Ellis Devereaux evaluated that effort and was able to improve staff and patient circulation and improve functional relationships. Directly due to planning efficiencies, we reduced the overall floor plate by 1,500 SF while maintaining all of the program areas.
