Architecture + Design

“Everyone thinks I draw buildings for a living. What I really do – whether my medium is words, or lines, or bricks – is tell stories.

For me, every design project is, first of all, an amazing story that needs to be told. The things that make for a great tale –
characters and conflict, victories and setbacks, aspirations, choices, nuances, making sense of your place in the world…
those are things that comprise great architecture, too. There are plot twists and surprise endings.

No two projects will ever be the same, because no two stories are.”
