The Materialise North America facility, designed by HED in a design-build partnership with Oliver / Hatcher Construction, epitomizes innovation. The facility pioneers solutions in industrial manufacturing and healthcare personalization. Spanning 10,500 SF, this building is the nexus of cutting-edge technology and visionary design. The 3D metal additive printing lab has been designed to accommodate evolving state-of-the-art equipment and technology, crafting intricate components with unmatched precision. Adjacent, the post-processing metal lab ensures every piece meets impeccable standards. And with a 500 SF ISO 7 certified cleanroom, purity is guaranteed, safeguarding against contaminants.

Beyond innovation, sustainability is paramount. Upgraded HVAC systems, closed-loop DI water, and acid water retrieval systems underscore Materialise's commitment to efficiency and environmental responsibility.

Results
The ISO 7 Clean Room provides air cleanliness levels of a maximum of 10,000 particles (≥0.5µm) per cubic foot and a minimum of 60 air changes per hour.
The new clean room includes locked side-by-side fire-rated wall panels, anodized aluminum frame doors, chemically resisted floors, and a high-efficiency air filtration HVAC system.
