John Dale to speak at the the New Buildings Institute Workshop

John Dale, Principal and Pre K-12 + Community Education Studio Leader, will speak at the New Buildings Institute Workshop, February 26, at SoCalGas Energy Resource Center in Downey, California.

During the session, Dale will speak about Solana Ranch Elementary School

About the Session

Learn how whole-building retrofits can create ZNE K-12 schools and community colleges

A zero net energy (ZNE) building generates as much energy as it consumes annually. With energy bills at California's schools totaling more than $700 million a year*, innovative energy solutions like ZNE buildings are a way to save energy and put money back into classrooms.

A number of no-cost workshops are being offered to explain how California's K-12 schools and community colleges can achieve ZNE through whole-building retrofits. These interactive workshops are part of an investor-owned utility (IOU) pilot program aimed at leveraging Proposition 39 dollars to test how some of the state's existing K-12 and community college buildings can be transformed into ZNE facilities.
