Deborah Wylie joins HED as Higher Education Studio Leader

Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) is pleased to announce Deborah Wylie, AIA has joined the firm as Higher Education Studio Leader. 

Wylie will be based in Los Angeles and collaborate on all aspects of the office’s Higher Education Studio.

A recognized leader in higher education facilities and operations, her unique expertise includes disaster recovery; new campus planning and programming, project and operations management. 

Wylie has worked on a number of key higher education projects, including leading all design efforts to rebuild California State University, Northridge after the devastating 1994 earthquake; development of long-range plans for the adaptive re-use of the Camarillo State Mental Hospital into the newest California State University (CSU Channel Islands campus; convening a Seismic Mitigation Task Force for the University of California system to renew the seismic safety policy.

Prior to joining HED, Wylie most recently was Associate Vice President for Capital Programs at the University of California Office of the President, where she led Capital Planning, Design, Construction, Real Estate, Physical and Environmental Planning.
