Session Description

As one of the few remaining independent community hospital in Chicagoland, Palos Community Hospital is working to best serve the community while positioning itself for long term survival and independence in a competitive marketplace. The hospital intends to accomplish this with a new focus on outpatient care to deliver the right care, at the right place, at the right time, and at the right price. The first major piece of their strategy Palos Community Hospital is redeveloping an aging outpatient center to rebrand its services, enable new strategic partnerships, improve their outpatient care delivery, and meet the needs of the community it serves. With no time for waste the hospital reached out to new partners and an integrated design build approach to accelerate the delivery of its revamped facility and strategy as quickly as possible.

  1. Understand how the hospital is responding to the needs of its community in redeveloping their outpatient campus
  2. Determine how the strategic needs of the hospital, community, and partnerships were combined in a lean design and planning process
  3. Understand how a collaborative approach from the purchasing department to the ‘C suite‘ has impacted the design build process
  4. Learn how an integrated design build approach is delivering the hospital’s goals of repositioning itself in the marketplace as quickly as possible.
