Interested in learning more about enhancing your memory support program?

Harley Ellis Devereaux will be presenting Not Just a Garden — Integration of Architecture & Site Design to Enhance Memory Support (Session G2) on Tuesday, August 4 from 4-5:30 p.m.

In addition to providing a visually appealing backdrop, gardens and outdoor spaces in memory support settings actively enhance the overall care program. Careful consideration of programming, staffing and resident engagement provides direction for an integrated approach to the architecture and site design, allowing for a rich, diverse setting that supports residents and the provision of their care.

• Understand evidence-based design theories and applications to achieve therapeutic outcomes.
• Identify the benefits of intentional space and designated environments as part of a memory support program.
• Appreciate the collaborative process between the architect, landscape architect and owner/operator in developing successful and supportive memory environments.
