Harley Ellis Devereaux Volunteers on National “Make a Difference Day” for Habitat for Humanity

This past Saturday was nationally-recognized as Make a Difference Day.  On Saturday morning, a group of architects and engineers from Harley Ellis Devereaux came together bright and early to volunteer their skills and time for a Habitat for Humanity family.  The volunteers from various disciplines included Jennifer Cohoon, Jack Bullo, Mark Karaba, Eric Essique, Alina Chelaidite and Matt Guinta.

The purpose of the volunteer experience with Habitat for Humanity is to break down all barriers and collaborate as a team in providing a home for a family in need. Everyone arrived as equals in their jeans and t-shirts in Southfield, ready to work towards the common goal. The focus was centered on renovating a home for a family in need and the team did just that by uniting their abilities to assist a less fortunate family.

“This was the perfect opportunity to give back to a great organization and help work on a house and create a home for this family.  The winter months are just around the corner and it is critical that everyone has a warm and safe place to call home,” said Mark Karaba.
